Halma 1.1.1
This is a Board Game
Mactivity's CD-ROM nr 10 advice: This application did
run on a b/w 68030 processor under System 7.1. It was
also tested on a big ColorScreen of a PowerMacintosh
running System 7.1.2. The game was also tested on a
Quadra with 68040 processor and a 13 inch Color Screen
and System 7.1 by Mactivity.
Halma is a board game played with nine pieces on a variety
of different boards. Regardless of the size of the
board, the nine pieces will start in a nice little
3 x 3 square in the bottom-left corner of the board,
and your goal is to move them to the 3 x 3 square in
the opposite (top-right) corner. The fun of Halma lies
in discovering the minimum number of moves to solve
a particular board. As you play, the computer will
keep track of how many moves you've taken. Obviously,
the lower your score, the better. A valid move is one
of the following - (1) a chain of jumps over other
pieces vertically, horizontally, or diagonally to other
unoccupied spaces on the board, or (2) a single-space
step in any direction to any unoccupied space.
